Bruce brings more than 25 years media experience including a decade as a senior executive at Canwest Global Communications in their Winnipeg corporate office. Most recently he was with the Winnipeg Free Press where he was Vice President, Marketing. Bruce started his career as a reporter, editor with CBC Radio and Television in Alberta and has held numerous communications and marketing posts in the corporate world, including the energy, transportation, political and health care sectors, and as an advisor to small and medium enterprises.

John is managing editor and also writes about various business issues, ranging from trade and industrial expansions to the economy and job growth. Most recently, he was the business and economics editor at The Canadian Press, the national news agency. He worked for CP in various capacities, from business writer to political reporter to Washington correspondent, as well as news editor in Ontario and chief of the Atlantic bureau. Before that, John worked at the London Free Press, the Ottawa Citizen and CBC.

Jordan is a journalist who covers municipal politics, courts and business development. He spent the last two years as the managing editor of the Portage Daily Graphic/Central Plains Herald Leader in Manitoba, mobilizing a small team of journalists to cover a large and vibrant community. Jordan has spent time freelancing for a number of organizations, most notably the National Lacrosse League. While he started his own community newspaper, the Bloordale Press, in the Davenport region of Toronto, which has become a successful print and online product, he continues to diversify his experience in all facets of journalism.

She's been a leading business journalist at The Globe and Mail, Financial Post, Maclean's and Canadian Press. While there, she sometimes imagined how she would redo her early experience in community journalism at the Goldstream Gazette on Vancouver Island, where she won her first reporting award, if she could bring her experience back to local journalism. After recent spells of entrepreneurialism and corporate communications, Brenda has been drawn to the Star Media Group’s exciting version of the next generation of business journalism: subscription-driven, online business news aimed at the dynamic business community of Mississauga, which is to Canadian business what Toronto is to finance.
